Trader29 2.2.3 Changelog

Update 2.2.2 continues the effort to consolidate design, navigation and speed across Trader29. Also including a clean-up of the social system, along with the ability to post videos. Average page load time has dropped from 1.5 seconds to 600ms.

Additions

-Added video uploading to social posts.
*Currently limited to MP4, MOV or WebM file types, 90 seconds, and 50mb.

Tweaks

-Lots of backend architecture changes to improve load speeds:
-Loading animation no longer forced to be 600ms long.
-Profiles now mounted and cached rather than checking on each page load.
-Roleplay, Messages, Navbar and homepage fetched more efferently to improve speed.
-Social Feed clean-up:
**temporarily removed themes from social posts until I redesign them to look better**
-Removed Reviews, Platform and type tag (e.g social) from posts.
-Hashtags no longer duplicated after the post.
-Removed platform selection on social posts.
-Removed Treding/Recent/Following (defaults to recent).
-Dedicated desktop social composer.

Fixes

-Good/Bad karma sound effect no longer plays randomly on Trader29 load.
-Roleplay faction bio now truncated on the Roleplay page.
-Social Media (images, Videos, GIFS, Polls) not sit directly beneath text.

Trader29 2.2.2 Changelog

Update 2.2.2 continues the effort to consolidate design, navigation and speed across Trader29.

Tweaks

-Profile/Store Action buttons updated to 2.0 design, with loading states.
-Adjustments to Roleplay Hub:
-Click character portrait to set as active.
-Added newer loading states for page transitions.
-Added newer style loading states to all 'You' menu pages.
-Added a loading animation to the homepage.
-Added loading screen to action buttons, news, marketplace and social posts.

-Fixed an issue that could prevent users from swapping faction.

Trader29 2.2.1 Changelog

Tweaks

-Added a shared animated loading language across Trader29.
-Homepage action cards now transition into their destination with an icon-led loading state.
-Messages now transitions from the muted navigation icon into the yellow Trader29 loading treatment.
-News articles and Featured Events now use image-led loading transitions with the article/event title.
-Social posts and comments now use profile identity, attached media (or the Social icon) and land into the destination post.
-Marketplace listings now lift the full listing card into the centre, load Marketplace, then physically land into the matching listing position.
-Standardised shared buttons, icon controls and destructive actions across more of the app.
-Marketplace now loads 60 listings per page on desktop while keeping 20 per page on mobile.
-Homepage loading choreography has been tightened so cold loads and warm loads feel more consistent.

Fixes

-Fixed the old hardcoded Homepage banner briefly flashing during cold loads.
-Fixed Recent News article rows not using the same loading animation as Featured News/Event cards.
-Fixed Social loading using the wrong Social icon.
-Improved Marketplace transition image readiness so listing images no longer appear late during the animation.
-Improved Marketplace landing motion so cards arrive with a more deliberate impact and settle.

Trader29 2.2 Changelog

Introducing Roleplay 2.0, featuring Factions with dedicated socail spaces and chats. The guys over at the fallout independant wiki also reached out to support, meaning we now have covered nearly 80% of item images (10,000 individual photos).

Trader29 2.0 Changelog

Trader29 has been updated very frequently, and I have been learning as I went along, this meant pages were not completely consistent.
Update 2.0 aims to redefine and consolidate design, navigation and architecture site wide.

Trader29 1.9 Changelog

-Groups
-New Group Chat System, found in Messages.
-Public Groups can be found in 'Open Groups' or searched, private will require an invite from the group creator.
-Dedicated Groups for Raids, Roleplay General, Casual, Support, Admins, Couriers and Roleplay Specific Faction Chats.
-Roleplay Groups require the user to select a created roleplay character, that character must match the Groups Faction.
-Groups have a name, icon, and chat colour.
-Creators or admins of the chat can Remove Participants and change group info.

-Tweaked some behaviour for the social feed to backport more features from our SixFlights.com project:
-Clicking comment or on a post brings the post full screen.
-Notifications relating to a specfic post will now take the user to that specific post.

Giveaway Category for Listings
-A listing can be marked as 'Giveaway', with announcement time.
-Users see "Enter Competetion".
-Winner is randomly chosen by the system, and alerted.
-A trade room is opened between the two users to complete the giveaway.

Trader29 1.7.2.2 Changelog

Major Item Overhaul
-The entire database for items has been fixed and updated, adding "Tradability" rules, this allows for non-tradable items to be added, for use in the Build Guides and Showcases.
-Pulled directly from the games data-dump (July 2026).
-None Tradable items will show the user a warning message, why it cant be traded (e.g Atomic Shop) and will not be able to be listed.
-Database of items *should* now be fully complete.

Fixes

-Player Builder/Armory Weapon Listing now pulls correct mods, also updated some effect changes from recent patches.
-When opening messages, it opens at the most recent message rather than eariler in the conversation.
-Username is no longer optional.

Added New Page 'My Profile' seperate from 'My Store'.
This now contains most account profile data instead of settings, along with all customiziation.
This condeses My Store to be a clearer and a more condensed store page.

You can follow, view store and access moderation features when viewing another store.

Social
Structural rework of the social system, across both the frontend and backend, bringing features over from our SixFlights project:
Full-screen mobile social composer.
Cleaner timeline with a basic algorithm for surfacing trending posts.
Ability to post and browse galleries containing up to four images.
Images can now be added to comments.
Replies now nest correctly.
Cleaner sorting options, including Trending, Recent, Following and Tags.

Added new unread notification and message indicators to the navigation bar.
My Trades
Overhauled My Trades to create one clear hub for all your trade posts and active trades.
Added specific notifications for new trade-room messages and newly opened trade rooms.
Marketplace
Added a floating Create a Listing button.
Moderation and Admin
Messages containing a blacklisted username are still delivered to both users, but the message appears in red with an exclamation mark and the exact matched username highlighted. Clicking the message opens a safety warning explaining that the highlighted username appears on the known-scammer blacklist and should not be traded with.
If a message contains a banned phrase, slur or swear word, the message will still be sent, but the relevant term will be censored.
Backported the SixFlights admin system, including notifications and cleaner issue handling.
Other
Slightly reworked the homepage.
Updated the app icon.
Updated share metadata to match Trader29’s branding, removing the previous blue preview image.

News
News items no longer show View Related Trades when no applicable trades exist.
The Community Calendar no longer shows finished events under the All filter.
Fixed the Site Tour for the updated layout.
Fixed notifications within the admin system.
Fixed a possible issue that could prevent a listing from being created.
