TRADER29 ACCEPTABLE USE AND TRADING SAFETY POLICY

This Acceptable Use & Trading Safety Policy explains how users must behave on Trader29 to keep the platform safe, fair, and trustworthy. It applies alongside the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1) Purpose
Trader29 is built for clean, community-led Fallout 76 trading, social discovery, reputation building, and safer coordination between players.
This policy sets the minimum behaviour expected from every user.
2) Core principles
Users must:
Act honestly and in good faith
Respect other users
Provide accurate trade post and profile information
Follow applicable game publisher and platform rules
Avoid behaviour that harms trust, safety, or platform integrity
Use support, report, block, mute, and moderation tools responsibly
3) Scams and deception
You must not:
Misrepresent items, value, quantity, availability, ownership, trade terms, or user identity
Cancel trades after receiving value
Use fake screenshots, doctored evidence, fake messages, or misleading proof
Impersonate traders, couriers, admins, moderators, creators, groups, or Trader29
Manipulate reputation, reviews, badges, likes, comments, follows, or completed trade history
Coordinate fake trades or fake feedback
Use pressure tactics, urgency scams, bait-and-switch behaviour, or misleading offers
4) Harassment and abuse
You must not:
Harass, threaten, intimidate, bully, stalk, shame, or abuse users
Send spam, repeated unwanted messages, or unwanted promotional messages
Use hate speech, slurs, sexually explicit harassment, violent threats, or targeted abuse
Dox users or share personal data without consent
Use trade rooms, DMs, social posts, comments, support tickets, reviews, or reports to target or pressure users
Evade blocks, mutes, restrictions, bans, or moderation actions
5) Real-money trading and prohibited transactions
You must not use Trader29 to arrange:
Real-money trades
Cash sales or external payment requests for in-game items
Account sales or account sharing transactions
Off-platform payment requests linked to user-to-user item trades
Trades or services that violate applicable game publisher rules, platform rules, or law
Illegal, restricted, stolen, duplicated, hacked, or unsafe goods/services
Trader29+ and official Trader29 payments are for platform features only and are not payments for in-game items.
6) Platform abuse
You must not:
Use bots, automation, scraping, spam tools, or scripts without permission
Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, race conditions, or unintended behaviour
Attempt account takeover, phishing, credential theft, or session abuse
Bypass rate limits, trade post limits, membership limits, safety gates, or moderation systems
Create multiple accounts to manipulate reputation, evade enforcement, or bypass limits
Disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, attack, or interfere with Trader29 systems
7) Social and community rules
Social posts, comments, replies, likes, follows, news interactions, and community features must remain useful and respectful.
You must not:
Spam feeds or repeatedly post the same content
Manipulate likes, comments, follows, or engagement
Brigade, dogpile, or direct users to harass someone
Repeatedly advertise unrelated groups, stores, pages, or services
Use social features to pressure users into trades
Post misleading store/trade post attachments
Post content designed to cause drama, targeted harassment, or reputational harm
8) False sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement
You must not claim, imply, or suggest that Trader29 sponsors, endorses, partners with, approves, verifies, or is officially connected to your group, store, page, service, social account, community, event, or content unless Trader29 has given written permission.
You must not use Trader29 branding, screenshots, logos, name, reputation, or goodwill in a misleading way.
9) Support tickets, reports, and evidence
Support and report tools are for genuine issues only.
You must not:
Submit false, malicious, retaliatory, misleading, or bad-faith reports
Submit doctored evidence or fake screenshots
Repeatedly open tickets to harass users or staff
Withhold important context from a report
Use support tickets to threaten or pressure another user
Report users simply because a trade negotiation failed or you disliked their offer
10) Blocking, muting, and safety tools
Block, mute, report, and safety settings exist to protect users.
You must not abuse safety tools to:
Harass users
Manipulate disputes
Evade moderation
Create false impressions of misconduct
Coordinate pile-ons or retaliatory reports
Bypass existing restrictions
Users may block or mute others for their own comfort and safety. Trader29 may still review relevant activity where needed for moderation, safety, or disputes.
11) Prohibited trade posts and content
You must not list, request, promote, or coordinate:
Illegal goods or services
Real-world controlled items
Accounts, credentials, or account access
Hacked, duplicated, stolen, or exploit-based items/services
Content prohibited by game publishers or platform rules
Content that violates law, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or platform safety
Content that contains malware, phishing, scams, or deceptive links
12) Trading safety guidance
Trader29 cannot guarantee trade outcomes, but we strongly encourage users to:
Use clear trade terms
Communicate inside Trader29 where possible
Check reputation, history, reviews, and safety notices
Avoid rushed trades or pressure tactics
Be wary of users pushing you off-platform
Use courier/protected trade tools where appropriate
Report suspicious activity early
Keep screenshots/context for disputed trades
13) Courier and protected trade behaviour
If courier or protected trade tools are used, users must:
Be honest about trade terms
Follow reasonable instructions from admins/couriers where applicable
Not impersonate couriers or admins
Not use courier requests to delay, harass, mislead, or manipulate trades
Understand that courier/protected trade features are safety tools, not guarantees or escrow unless expressly stated otherwise
14) Reporting and moderation
Users can report:
Suspicious trade posts
Scam attempts
Harassment or abuse
False sponsorship/impersonation
Real-money trading attempts
Support/ticket abuse
Policy violations
Reports may lead to:
Content removal
Warning or feature restrictions
Trade lock, close, or dispute flag
Account suspension or termination
Blacklist review or entry where appropriate
Other safety or moderation actions
15) Dispute handling
If a trade dispute occurs:
Users may be asked for context, screenshots, trade room messages, or other evidence
Trade rooms or features may be locked during review
Moderation decisions are made to protect platform integrity and user safety
Trader29 does not guarantee specific outcomes, repayment, item return, or trade completion
Trader29 does not act as escrow or guarantee trade outcomes unless expressly stated otherwise
16) Enforcement philosophy
Moderation aims to be:
Fair and proportionate
Protective of honest users
Focused on platform trust
Practical, not drama-driven
We reserve the right to act without notice where safety, security, legal compliance, or platform integrity requires it.
17) Updates
We may update this policy to reflect platform changes, new features, legal changes, or safety needs. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
